You can visit Duffins Creek in many areas…

  • Claremont Outdoor Education Centre on the banks of Duffins Creek, in Pickering, is open to schools and groups of adults or children (such as Guides, Scouts).for two- or five-day residential programs on weekdays and weekends year round. The centre has public programming and can be rented for events.
  • The TransCanada Trail traverses Duffins Creek watershed with various access points, free
  • East Duffins Headwaters conservation lands in Duffins Creek watershed in Uxbridge, free
  • Greenwood Conservation Lands are a major greenspace area in western Durham managed by TRCA, currently there is no public access. Greenwood Conservation Area in Ajax is a part of this greenspace which is open for public access, free. Fees may apply for group activities, please check with the municipality.
  • The Seaton Trail traverses the western part of Duffins Creek watershed in Pickering, with limited access points, free
  • Various municipal parks in the watershed and on the Lake Ontario waterfront are also excellent places to visit. Fees may apply for group activities, please check with the municipality.
  • Part of Duffins Creek watershed is in Rouge National Urban Park, please check authorised public access areas, free
