COVID-19 Related Updates

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) announces the following measures to proactively protect staff and members of the public from the potential risk of contracting COVID-19:

  • The closure of TRCA’s head office and satellite offices to the public until further notice.
  • The closure of all TRCA educational facilities.
  • The postponement of all in-person conferences, events and programs until further notice. Please visit the TRCA events calendar for our online events and learning programs, as well as the Black Creek Pioneer Village website for additional virtual activities.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  • TRCA Conservation Parks are closed for the season, except for Albion Hills Conservation Area and Kortright Centre for Conservation. For full listing of all TRCA properties and up-to-date status please see our Places to Visit page.
  • TRCA’s Infrastructure and Development Planning and Permits staff will continue to operate remotely, and will be available by telephone and email to assist you as necessary. LEARN MORE.

These closures and cancellations are in line with the announcement from Ontario’s chief medical officer of health recommending the immediate suspension of all large events and public gatherings, and the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring COVID-19 a global pandemic, as well as recommendations by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
