ELIGIBILITY
- Participants must be 14 years of age or older.
- Participants must be returning to a high school the following school year.
At-home Projects:
Complete e-learning modules and action projects in your backyard and neighbourhood. Five modules will be available, with the opportunity to earn up to 10 volunteer hours.
Modules and at-home projects will have a timeline of two weeks to be completed.
Topics will include:
- Introduction to outdoor health and safety, climate change, and community stewardship
- Microplastics
- Invasive plant species
- Pollinators
- Habitat creation
In-person Events (optional):
Participate in outdoor volunteer activities in the community. Events will be approximately three hours in length, and will take place in greenspaces across Peel, York, and Durham regions.
Youth will sign up for individual opportunities; a maximum of nine youth per event will be maintained.
To participate in in-person events, youth must complete the “Introduction” e-learning module.

TRCA is currently accepting applications for future programs. Pending guidelines from Federal and Provincial Government and Municipal Health Authorities as it relates to the COVID-19 situation, we look forward to offering safe and fun experiences soon.
