TRCA works on a number of projects to help protect and restore these important watersheds.
Watersheds are impacted by human activities and continued development. As part of TRCA’s vision and mission, ongoing and new enhancement projects are an integral part of ensuring watersheds are functioning in a healthy manner. These projects improve human and wildlife health, create recreational activities and provide green-space and habitat for wildlife.
Listed below are some of our projects from the headwaters in Caledon through Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto to the mouth of Lake Ontario. These are made possible in cooperation with Regional, Municipal, Corporate, Community and other partners. (The following documents are in PDF format)
